As an expert in addictive disorders for nearly 20 years, Dr. Barnett provides professional assessments that help distinguish between problematic behaviors, levels of risk for addiction, and recommendations for potential follow-up actions. All types of addiction share some common psychological and behavioral themes and there are also important distinctions between types of addictions.
Most assessments will be conducted through a combination of self-report questionnaires and in-person or online clinical interviews. Reasons for seeking an assessment may be legal (Court Diversion, Driving Under Influence, Possession/Distribution, etc..), Physical Health/Medical (Healthcare Provider Referred), Family/Social (friend or family member is concerned), or Personal.
A thorough, professional assessment is a critical step in the process in helping to understand if a problem exists and determine what next steps, if any, will be most helpful on the path towards a healthier life.
All Assessments are $250.00 payable online, by check, or in person by cash.
